What Can LoRaWAN Do?

LoRaWAN enables long-range, low-power, and cost-effective tracking and monitoring in various scenarios. It can be used for asset tracking across industries, such as monitoring the real-time location, movement, and condition of shipping containers, pallets, and packages in logistics and supply chain management. In agriculture, it plays a role in livestock management, helping farmers monitor the movement patterns, grazing habits, and health status of livestock, and assists researchers in studying the behavior and migration routes of endangered species in wildlife conservation.

For smart cities and infrastructure management, LoRaWAN can track the location and usage of public assets like garbage bins, parking meters, and streetlights, and monitor the structural integrity of bridges, pipelines, and power lines. It also supports personal and pet tracking, allowing for monitoring the location of individuals (such as children, the elderly, and employees in remote areas) and pets, with the ability to send alerts in case of emergencies or when they move outside predefined safe zones.
